Coming home little one...

I've grieved the loss of you

Since our bodies parted.

We are reunited tomorrow

in such a dark way.

And yet there's beauty in the darkness,

In the creation of an ember,

To light the way home.

The remnants of ashes - a reminder of what was.

There is no grief without the presence of hope and love.

I've come home to you,

And you are home with me alas;

Through alchemy, in the ritual of honoring, with dedication to your ashes.

A part of me rests in the ashes with you,

And I rise up like the phoenix.

With you in my heart as my guardian angel.

Welcome home guardian angel.

The pain soars,

The sobbing suffocates,

The fear of losing you only felt after the fear became the reality.

Excitement, joy, hope.

Life exuded my soul when I was carrying you;

Fear did not exist until the moment

Your heartbeat never came at the ultra sound.

Dear one,

My guardian angel.

The soul that came into the world to connect me to your father -

we share an angel now.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

Forrest, grant me the joy and hope and youthfulness that came with the promise of you.
